The Thomas Meagher Bar is one of the latest additions to the Downtown Missoula bar scene. The space was previously occupied by Sean Kelly's, a popular pub themed bar. The new owners wanted to take the 'pub' concept even further, envisioning the space as a larger open and communal atmosphere. The drop ceiling was removed exposing the original timber truss structure, a lattice work of rough 2x8 timbers connected with square headed bolts.

Construction completed in Fall 2014.

TOP HAT LOUNGE

The Top Hat

The Top Hat changed ownership in 2012. Desiring to both preserve the history of the Top Hat and the future growth of Missoula's music scene, the new owner sought to expand the seating capacity, add a restaurant, and upgrade sounds system and acoustics. Significant repair to structure was required to meet current building codes.

Paradigm won an Historic Preservation Award from the City of Missoula for this project in 2014.
